Finnish Tango, couple dance class
Tango is a strong part of Finnish culture and identity. Finns have a true passion for tango. In Finland, tango has developed into its own unique musical form. Tango music sounds different in Paris, South America, and Finland. Finnish tango is a distinctive style of dancing this particular dance. Around the world, Argentine and English tango are more commonly danced. The Finnish mindset and cultural history are reflected in Finnish tango. On one hand, it expresses a longing for something distant—beyond the stars or across the open sea—while on the other, it can be found in one’s own heart.
Finnish tango has been adapted into a steady-rhythm popular music style, making it accessible for ordinary Finns to dance to. This, too, reflects the Finnish state of mind.
Dancing is an enjoyable social activity that allows people to move together to good music. Dance skills are useful in various situations, such as celebrations, dance halls, and social gatherings. After a dance course, it’s great to visit one of the local dance halls—your instructor will provide more information about them.
Book a relaxed Finnish tango couple dance lesson.
Upon request, it is also possible to practice foxtrot or the lively fusku. The lesson will start with the basics, so no prior experience is needed.
Does your group include people with previous dance experience? The lesson can be adjusted to a more advanced level if needed.
